This policy explains what personal information Redear Press collects through this website, why, and what rights you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
Redear Press is an independent literary publisher with its head office in Charleston and editors in Galway and Hampshire. For any privacy question, write to [email protected].
What we collect
- Newsletter — if you subscribe to The Gill Plate, the name and email address you give us.
- Enquiries & submissions — when you email us or send work, your name, email address, and whatever you choose to include.
- Server logs — our host records standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and working.
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not buy or sell personal data.
How we use it
To reply to you, to send the newsletter if you asked for it, to consider submissions, and to keep the site secure. Nothing else.
Legal bases
Where the UK/EU GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for the newsletter (withdraw any time via the unsubscribe link), and on our legitimate interests — or steps taken at your request — to answer enquiries and read submissions.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Cloudflare (website hosting and security), Postmark (email delivery), and our own ticketing system for managing correspondence. We share your information with no one else except where required by law.
Cookies
The site uses only what is strictly necessary to load and stay secure. We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Only as long as needed: newsletter details until you unsubscribe; correspondence and submissions for as long as the matter is live and a reasonable period after.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to stop contacting you, at [email protected]. If you are in the UK, EU, or EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
International
We operate across the United States, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, and our providers may process data in those regions under appropriate safeguards.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and post the new version here.
